I have to admit, I am blown away by the reviews that are coming in for Unforeseen Heartbeat! As of right now there are twenty 5-star reviews on Amazon and two 5-star reviews on Barnes and Noble! I am so happy everyone is enjoying Maddie and Hunter's story. I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed writing this book and becoming even more connected with the characters. Haha, for a while it seemed like they were taking things over, and I had no say whatsoever in the writing process. That's just how it goes! They write the story and I'm just their instrument in delivering that story to you guys. That's what makes my job so exciting . . . I never know what's going to happen next!
And in case you are wondering whether or not this can be read as a standalone, it can! I never intended for it to be read that way, since it's a continuation of the first story, but since Maddie and Hunter are the main focus of this book, it is still quite easy to follow; there just might be some confusion with some of the minor characters. I discussed it with my beta readers and blogs who reviewed Unforeseen Heartbeat as a standalone for the blog tour, and they agreed as well. However, I still recommend that you read Relinquishing Liberty first because it will give A LOT more insight into the backstory or Liberty, Shayne, Brett and Maddie.
