Review of Provoke by Missy Johnson

SYNOPSIS:

Mace Jordan was not the type of guy I expected to sweep me off my feet. I knew of the crowd he ran with, and they were bad news. But beyond that tough, biker exterior was a sweetheart, and one that treated me like his princess.
I liked being the good girl with the bad boy, but I never expected this. What I saw on his computer…I thought I knew him.

But I was wrong. So wrong…

If there was ever a bad time for me to fall for a chick it was now, but from the moment I saw Leeta, she had me. There was something special about her, and I had to have her. But I also had a job to do, and I couldn’t let her distract me from that. I couldn’t let her discover that side of me either. But she’s not stupid, and I know she’s getting close. God knows what she’ll do if she discovers the truth.

Or what she thinks is the truth.

MY REVIEW:

4 Mind-blowing Stars!

This book really caught me by surprise, and I am so happy Missy gifted me a copy of the book! We first meet Mace and Leeta who have been dating for the last six months, but they seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum. Leeta is a prosecutor and with a good girl attitude. Mace, on the other hand, is a little rough around the edges, and his jailed father and brother are notorious for their criminal background. Leeta and Mace couldn't be anymore different and yet, are still so fiercely attracted to one another.

From the very beginning you can tell that Mace is keeping a secret, but you don't realize just how serious and painful that secret is until Leeta finds evidence of what Mace is really up to. To say that my jaw dropped while reading it is an understatement! I didn't see it coming at all and poor Leeta's heart is shattered by her discovery. As the story progresses, you find out just deep and dark Mace's secret truly is, and I felt a mix emotions up until the very end.

Overall, I loved this story! It was very original and kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought it started out a bit slow, but it quickly picked up and blew me away! I definitely recommend this book and can't wait to read more from Missy Johnson!
